Albums of 2011. No.5  Washed Out : Within & Without (Sub Pop) Has there ever been a worse name for  a new musical trend than chill wave? I’ve yet to hear one. Even worse were the snobs who would pontificate how Washed Out were so much better on their original releases than on this album. Fact is, I listened to this more than anything else during the summer. In my opinion, this pissed on the flabby, over bloated indulgence of the seriously patchy M83 album.
